Welcome to Galatois web site! All of us at Premiere Farm appreciate your interest in our very special stallion, GALATOIS. If you’d like to come see him in person, we are located in Culpeper, Virginia and would welcome your visit by appointment anytime. Galatois is a 1994 Chestnut Selle Francais stallion. He stands 16 hands, has a perfect star and two hind socks. He is the son of Katie Prudent’s winning Grand Prix mare, The Empress (formerly Isabella). The Empress has been forever commemorated in her great career, pictured on the United States postal stamp representing the 1996 Atlanta United States Olympic Equestrian Team. Galatois is the son of Galoubet A, a sire of extraordinary International Show Jumping Champions. As a combination of these two outstanding horses, Galatois is elegant and exceptional, possessing great movement, superior balance and athleticism. Galatois seems to define that fine line between passion and poise – complete control and expressive power. He is charismatic, classic and light looking, not the heavy set warmblood type. Galatois is an excellent stallion to refine the coarser bloodlines, and adds step to the American Thoroughbreds. His heart, soul, and calm demeanor exhibit themselves daily, both in himself and his offspring. The Selle Francais Association has long established a standardized rating for stallions, reflecting their performance and genetic excellence. Galatois scored a very high 17 (.36) BLUB points. BLUB or Best Linear Unbiased Predictor is an estimation of genetic potential and jumping aptitude. Although Galatois has never competed in France, and his progeny are only just beginning to compete, his rating is one of the highest awarded to any stallion in the United States! Please explore Galatois web site further to read about his show career, life at home, his offspring, “his mares” at home, or his breeding contract.
